Description

Chronic renal insufficiency can't be reversed, but the right diet genuinely helps manage its progression. animonda Integra Protect Renal 6 x 100g is a dietetic wet food with reduced protein and phosphorus, and the widest flavour range in the Integra Protect line — useful for cats whose appetite has become unpredictable.

The Mixed Pack covers six varieties, so you can identify what your cat prefers before committing to a single flavour long term.

Important — please read before ordering

  • Please consult your vet before feeding your pet with a veterinary diet. Your vet will be able to give further information and advice on possible treatment.
  • When feeding your pet with a veterinary diet, you should take your pet to the vet for a check-up at least every 6 months.
  • If your pet's health worsens while using this product, please seek veterinary advice immediately.
  • By adding this product to your shopping basket you are confirming that you have read and understood the above information.

Frequently asked questions

Which variety should I start with?
The Mixed Pack is the sensible starting point — it lets you see which flavour your cat actually eats before you commit to a single-variety pack.

Is this suitable for a cat with a known protein sensitivity?
Check the specific recipe carefully — most varieties here contain more than one meat source (for example, the "Beef" recipe also contains chicken and pork). Pure Turkey is the only single-protein option.

My cat has almost stopped eating — will this help?
The recipe is formulated for high acceptance partly because reduced appetite is common with kidney disease. That said, a cat refusing food for more than 24 hours needs urgent veterinary attention, regardless of diet.

How does this compare to the 24 x 85g pack?
The 24-pouch pack only comes in chicken or beef; this 6 x 100g range offers six varieties, making it the better choice if your cat needs more options.

Care

General Care & Storage
To get the most out of your Petszo delivery, please keep the following in mind:

  • Edibles: Keep food and treats tightly sealed and stored in a cool, dry environment.
  • Fabrics & Beds: Gently wipe clean or wash at 30ºC (always check the individual label first). Do not bleach.
  • Safety First: Regularly check toys and accessories for damage and remove them if broken.
  • Note: Always refer to the specific packaging for exact instructions.

Getting the most out of your Petszo order comes down to storing things properly and checking them regularly. Here's what matters.

Food and treats

Keep dry food tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Resealing the bag or transferring it to an airtight container helps stop the fats going stale, which is the usual reason a dog or cat suddenly goes off a food they previously liked.

Opened wet food should be covered and refrigerated, and used within about 24 hours. Serve it at room temperature rather than straight from the fridge — cold food is noticeably less appealing to most pets and can be harder on sensitive stomachs.

Many treat pouches contain a small oxygen absorber sachet to keep the contents fresh. This isn't edible — remove and discard it before giving your pet the treat.

Beds, blankets and fabric items

Most fabric items can be gently wiped clean or machine washed at 30°C, but always check the individual care label first — padding and covers vary between products. Don't use bleach, as residue can irritate skin and paws.

Removable covers are worth washing more often than you'd think, particularly for pets with skin sensitivities.

Toys and chews

Check toys and accessories regularly for damage, and remove anything that's cracked, split or losing pieces. Small fragments are a genuine choking and blockage risk.

Always supervise your pet with chews and rawhide products, and take away any piece small enough to be swallowed whole. Match the chew size to your pet — a chew intended for a small dog won't last long with a large one, and creates more risk.

Harnesses, collars and leads

Check the fit periodically, especially on growing puppies and kittens. As a rule you should be able to slide two fingers comfortably under any strap — tighter risks rubbing, looser risks your pet backing out of it.

Inspect stitching, buckles and clips for wear, and replace anything showing damage before it fails on a walk.

Litter trays and small pet enclosures

Scoop clumping litter daily and top up as needed; a full change every 1–2 weeks is typical, more often with several cats sharing a tray. Clean the tray itself with hot water and mild detergent rather than strong disinfectants, some of which are toxic to cats.

For small pet enclosures, spot-clean soiled bedding daily and do a full change weekly.

Switching foods

Introduce any new food gradually over roughly 7–10 days, mixing increasing amounts into the current food. Sudden changes are one of the most common causes of digestive upset, and it's easily avoided.

Always check the product packaging. The guidance here is general — individual products carry their own storage, washing and feeding instructions, and those take precedence. If you're unsure about something, or your pet has a specific health condition, speak to your vet.

Delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

We aim to dispatch orders within 1–7 business days of you placing them. Delivery time after dispatch depends on the shipping method chosen at checkout. You'll receive tracking details by email once your order is on its way, so you can follow its progress with the carrier.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — delivery is free on all UK orders over £59.99. Orders below that threshold are charged at the rate shown at checkout before you pay.

Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. We don't ship internationally at present. Please note that a small number of items are shipped from outside the UK and may take a little longer to arrive — this is noted on the individual product page where it applies.

What if my order is late?

Carrier delays occasionally happen, particularly around public holidays or in bad weather. If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, get in touch with your order number and we'll chase it. If a package is confirmed lost or significantly delayed by the courier, we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, we email you tracking details. Use these to check live delivery status directly with the carrier.

Returns & refunds

Can I return something if I change my mind?

Yes. Under UK consumer law you have 14 days from receiving your order to tell us you'd like to cancel, and a further 14 days to send the items back. Items need to be unused, in their original packaging and in the condition you received them. Return postage for change-of-mind returns is at your cost. Full details are in our Refund & Return Policy.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

We'll put it right. Under UK law you have up to 30 days to reject a faulty item for a full refund. For transit damage, contact us ideally within 48 hours of delivery with photos of both the item and the packaging. We cover return postage on faulty or incorrect items and will offer a full refund or a replacement.

Are there items I can't return?

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or unsealed pet food and treats, used grooming products, personalised items and gift cards can't be returned unless they're faulty.

How long do refunds take?

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know whether it's approved. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving the goods, back to your original payment method.

Can I cancel an order before it ships?

Yes — email support@petszo.co.uk with your order number any time before dispatch. If it's already gone out, you can return it under the 14-day change-of-mind period once it arrives.

Products

Do I need a prescription for veterinary diets?

No prescription is legally required in the UK to buy veterinary diet foods. However, these products are formulated for diagnosed conditions, so we strongly recommend speaking to your vet before starting one — and having your pet checked at least every six months while feeding it. If your pet's health worsens, seek veterinary advice straight away.

How should I switch my pet to a new food?

Gradually, over roughly 7–10 days. Mix a small amount of the new food into the current one and increase the proportion each day. Switching abruptly is a common cause of digestive upset.

How do I store pet food once it's open?

Keep dry food in a cool, dry place, ideally resealed or in an airtight container to stop the fats going stale. Opened wet food should go in the fridge and be used within about 24 hours. Always check the individual packaging, as some products have specific requirements.

Shipping & Returns

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders, and what to do if something goes wrong.

1. Delivery charges

Delivery is free on all UK orders over £59.99. For orders below that value, the delivery charge is calculated and shown at checkout before you complete your purchase — you'll never be charged an amount you haven't seen first.

2. Order processing and dispatch

We aim to dispatch orders within 1–7 business days of the order being placed. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

Once your order has been processed you'll receive a confirmation email, followed by tracking details where available.

3. Delivery times

Time in transit after dispatch depends on the delivery method selected at checkout and your location. Total time to receive your order is therefore the dispatch window above plus the carrier's transit time.

A small number of products are shipped from outside the UK and take longer to arrive. Where this applies, it is stated clearly on the individual product page.

4. Delivery area

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. We do not offer international shipping at present.

Please note that a small number of bulky items cannot be delivered to Northern Ireland. Where this restriction applies, it is noted on the product page.

5. Tracking your order

Once your order ships, we'll email you tracking information where available. You can use this to check the live delivery status directly with the carrier.

6. Delays

Some delays are outside our control — carrier backlogs, severe weather, and public holidays being the most common. If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us with your order number and we'll investigate.

If a package is confirmed lost or significantly delayed by the courier, we will send a replacement or issue a refund.

7. Incorrect delivery addresses

Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. If you spot a mistake, contact us immediately — we can usually correct it before dispatch. Once an order has shipped to an address you provided, we may not be able to recover it.

8. Contact us

For any questions about shipping or the status of an order:

Cat said no!!

She had a sniff and walked away!!

Cat didn't like it

I bought this food for my 15 year old kitty with kidney disease. She seemed initially interested, but after a couple days no longer wanted to eat it. I tried Mixed pack as well as Chicken and Beef flavours. Unfortunately she didn't like any of them.

W
William
Picky, senior cat.

Pleasantly surprised that my cat likes this! We've only just started on the box but given how much food we've wasted over the years when I've tried anything else, I thought this was another expensive waste. She got stuck in straight away and nearly finished it all in one go. \nHappy, old tuxedo cat. Not easy to do.

Elderly cat likes it

Generally the. Insistence is nice and wet and doesn’t smell too bad, but most importantly my very elderly 21 year old cat loves it and she is very fussy and only eats pate, however… as per other reviews there are often these really hard lumps in there sometimes very small and sometimes huge which I have to remove. \nAlso recently we ran out of stock and had to try a different brand, beapher I tried and she liked it as well although it’s a lot drier than integra,

N
Norma Kinnison
We disagree.

My cat will only eat the Animonda Integra brand of renal food. She might change her mind if she had to prepare it. For some reason small chunks of potato are included (to make up the volume?) and these have to be removed before I give her the food otherwise she baulks and leaves it. Also there are often large inedible lumps of hard meat and gristle which also have to be removed. On one occasion there were only 69 grams of food left (of the 100 grams in a foil) to offer her.

Edible

Out of all the renal cat foods we’ve tried, this one went down best with my fussy cat. Although it has some strange lumps of something white & weird looking in it that she seems to leave 🤢

Recipe changed

I agree with the last review, the recipe has changed, the consistency and colour is different. I bought 3 boxes of turkey as my cat loved it, but now won't touch it :(

A
Amelia
Something has changed :(

My cat loved the turkey pate which was a relief after trying every renal food on the market. But our latest box doesn't look or smell right. Either it's not properly prepared or stored, or they have changed the recipe. If it's been changed I wish that they would not do this 😭 has anyone else found this change?

Good renal meal

My siamese loves this food, she has picked up since starting this diet and enjoys it. We add metacam and a later feed youmove, its helping her. Have tried other renal food she didn't eat them at all.\nShes 15, we thought we had lost her, but has put on a little weight!Oh, its the chicken one........

Hopes dashed!

Like a few other users I thought I was on to a winner. My 16 year old fusscat loved the duck one, Yes!!! Finally a food he likes. But no. It is the only flavour you can't but separately. To be honest, the rest of the flavours looked pretty grim with gristle and various partly recognisable stringy bits that I fished out.

My cat loves it

Tried a mixed box to see how it went. He liked all of it but the pork was absolutely demolished in seconds.

Some were left and some were eaten. Need to work out which flavours she liked

Awful! Waste of money! Made both of my 2 cats sick and vomiting! Never again!

After thorough research and looking to find pork-free cat food that supports kidney function I order this BUT it has been awful & disappointing! Made both of my 2 cats sick and vomiting! Never again! Waste of money!

Loves it

Lid lifts of easy, and has a nice smell, my cat loves it.

M

Cat did not like

Got the chicken as it was the only one with one type of protein. Some hard white lumps in the mix. Cat licked it once and left it untouched, what a waste

E

Just duck please!

Please please just have a box full of duck! My cat absolutely loved it!\n\nUnfortunately I found out my cat is allergic to beef/veal and didn't like the chicken or turkey flavours\n\nIt's very frustrating trying to find kidney food your cat finds tasty, so when you've finally found one, its very disheartening to find it can't be bought by itself in one box...

Loves the Duck but not the Pork

My cat was put on Royal Canin renal and I really struggled to get her to eat, in fact I was pulling my hair out. Tried Integra when I couldn't get Royal Canin and she loves the Duck and the Turkey. It even smells of meat the other has no smell. I wish you would do just duck as the mixed box is a bit of a waste. She hates the pork, will eat the veal and beef under duress. Loves the duck and Turkey.

Very Well accepted.

This food in all its varieties is already loved by my 15-year-old cat Max. I only hope I can get him to finish some other renal brands I still have!\nIt is beautifully moist with good mixed textures. \nI'll just have to buy some more!

H
Helen
Yummy

Soft, moist pate with fat lumps much loved by my old boy. I wish the fat was finer and softer for him to eat because fat is good for cats with renal failure to eat. Apart from some bits of fat, the dish is licked clean.
