Description

When a dog has acute diarrhoea, the priority is getting something gentle into them that they'll actually eat. animonda Integra Protect Dog Intestinal is a dietetic complete wet food developed to help relieve acute intestinal absorption disorders, built on a deliberately short and highly digestible ingredient list.

Turkey is the only animal protein source, with gluten-free rice as an easily digestible carbohydrate and increased electrolytes to help replace what's lost through vomiting or diarrhoea.

Important — please read before ordering

  • Please consult your vet before feeding your pet with a veterinary diet. Your vet will be able to give further information and advice on possible treatment.
  • When feeding your pet with a veterinary diet, you should take your pet to the vet for a check-up at least every 6 months.
  • Should your pet's health worsen while using this product, please seek veterinary advice immediately.
  • By adding this product to your shopping basket you are confirming that you have read and understood the above information.

Why your dog will get on with it

  • Very high acceptance — useful when a poorly dog is off their food
  • Soft, easily digestible texture that's gentle on an upset gut
  • Reduced ingredient list using components with low allergenic potential
  • High moisture content, helpful when a dog is losing fluid

Frequently asked questions

When should I take my dog to the vet for diarrhoea?
Seek veterinary advice promptly if the diarrhoea lasts more than a day or two, contains blood, or comes with lethargy, repeated vomiting or refusal to drink. Puppies and older dogs dehydrate quickly and shouldn't be left to see how it goes.

How long should I feed this for?
It's designed for acute episodes rather than as a permanent diet. Your vet will advise how long to continue and when to transition back to normal food.

Why is turkey the only protein?
Using a single, highly digestible protein reduces the work the gut has to do and limits the chance of a reaction while your dog recovers.

How do I switch back to my dog's usual food?
Go gradually once symptoms have settled — mix increasing amounts of the normal food in over several days. Switching back abruptly is a common way to restart the problem.

Is this suitable for a dog over 10kg?
The manufacturer's guide covers dogs up to 10kg. For larger dogs, ask your vet for an appropriate daily amount rather than scaling the figures yourself.

Care

General Care & Storage
To get the most out of your Petszo delivery, please keep the following in mind:

  • Edibles: Keep food and treats tightly sealed and stored in a cool, dry environment.
  • Fabrics & Beds: Gently wipe clean or wash at 30ºC (always check the individual label first). Do not bleach.
  • Safety First: Regularly check toys and accessories for damage and remove them if broken.
  • Note: Always refer to the specific packaging for exact instructions.

Getting the most out of your Petszo order comes down to storing things properly and checking them regularly. Here's what matters.

Food and treats

Keep dry food tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Resealing the bag or transferring it to an airtight container helps stop the fats going stale, which is the usual reason a dog or cat suddenly goes off a food they previously liked.

Opened wet food should be covered and refrigerated, and used within about 24 hours. Serve it at room temperature rather than straight from the fridge — cold food is noticeably less appealing to most pets and can be harder on sensitive stomachs.

Many treat pouches contain a small oxygen absorber sachet to keep the contents fresh. This isn't edible — remove and discard it before giving your pet the treat.

Beds, blankets and fabric items

Most fabric items can be gently wiped clean or machine washed at 30°C, but always check the individual care label first — padding and covers vary between products. Don't use bleach, as residue can irritate skin and paws.

Removable covers are worth washing more often than you'd think, particularly for pets with skin sensitivities.

Toys and chews

Check toys and accessories regularly for damage, and remove anything that's cracked, split or losing pieces. Small fragments are a genuine choking and blockage risk.

Always supervise your pet with chews and rawhide products, and take away any piece small enough to be swallowed whole. Match the chew size to your pet — a chew intended for a small dog won't last long with a large one, and creates more risk.

Harnesses, collars and leads

Check the fit periodically, especially on growing puppies and kittens. As a rule you should be able to slide two fingers comfortably under any strap — tighter risks rubbing, looser risks your pet backing out of it.

Inspect stitching, buckles and clips for wear, and replace anything showing damage before it fails on a walk.

Litter trays and small pet enclosures

Scoop clumping litter daily and top up as needed; a full change every 1–2 weeks is typical, more often with several cats sharing a tray. Clean the tray itself with hot water and mild detergent rather than strong disinfectants, some of which are toxic to cats.

For small pet enclosures, spot-clean soiled bedding daily and do a full change weekly.

Switching foods

Introduce any new food gradually over roughly 7–10 days, mixing increasing amounts into the current food. Sudden changes are one of the most common causes of digestive upset, and it's easily avoided.

Always check the product packaging. The guidance here is general — individual products carry their own storage, washing and feeding instructions, and those take precedence. If you're unsure about something, or your pet has a specific health condition, speak to your vet.

Delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

We aim to dispatch orders within 1–7 business days of you placing them. Delivery time after dispatch depends on the shipping method chosen at checkout. You'll receive tracking details by email once your order is on its way, so you can follow its progress with the carrier.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — delivery is free on all UK orders over £59.99. Orders below that threshold are charged at the rate shown at checkout before you pay.

Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. We don't ship internationally at present. Please note that a small number of items are shipped from outside the UK and may take a little longer to arrive — this is noted on the individual product page where it applies.

What if my order is late?

Carrier delays occasionally happen, particularly around public holidays or in bad weather. If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, get in touch with your order number and we'll chase it. If a package is confirmed lost or significantly delayed by the courier, we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, we email you tracking details. Use these to check live delivery status directly with the carrier.

Returns & refunds

Can I return something if I change my mind?

Yes. Under UK consumer law you have 14 days from receiving your order to tell us you'd like to cancel, and a further 14 days to send the items back. Items need to be unused, in their original packaging and in the condition you received them. Return postage for change-of-mind returns is at your cost. Full details are in our Refund & Return Policy.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

We'll put it right. Under UK law you have up to 30 days to reject a faulty item for a full refund. For transit damage, contact us ideally within 48 hours of delivery with photos of both the item and the packaging. We cover return postage on faulty or incorrect items and will offer a full refund or a replacement.

Are there items I can't return?

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or unsealed pet food and treats, used grooming products, personalised items and gift cards can't be returned unless they're faulty.

How long do refunds take?

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know whether it's approved. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving the goods, back to your original payment method.

Can I cancel an order before it ships?

Yes — email support@petszo.co.uk with your order number any time before dispatch. If it's already gone out, you can return it under the 14-day change-of-mind period once it arrives.

Products

Do I need a prescription for veterinary diets?

No prescription is legally required in the UK to buy veterinary diet foods. However, these products are formulated for diagnosed conditions, so we strongly recommend speaking to your vet before starting one — and having your pet checked at least every six months while feeding it. If your pet's health worsens, seek veterinary advice straight away.

How should I switch my pet to a new food?

Gradually, over roughly 7–10 days. Mix a small amount of the new food into the current one and increase the proportion each day. Switching abruptly is a common cause of digestive upset.

How do I store pet food once it's open?

Keep dry food in a cool, dry place, ideally resealed or in an airtight container to stop the fats going stale. Opened wet food should go in the fridge and be used within about 24 hours. Always check the individual packaging, as some products have specific requirements.

Shipping & Returns

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders, and what to do if something goes wrong.

1. Delivery charges

Delivery is free on all UK orders over £59.99. For orders below that value, the delivery charge is calculated and shown at checkout before you complete your purchase — you'll never be charged an amount you haven't seen first.

2. Order processing and dispatch

We aim to dispatch orders within 1–7 business days of the order being placed. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

Once your order has been processed you'll receive a confirmation email, followed by tracking details where available.

3. Delivery times

Time in transit after dispatch depends on the delivery method selected at checkout and your location. Total time to receive your order is therefore the dispatch window above plus the carrier's transit time.

A small number of products are shipped from outside the UK and take longer to arrive. Where this applies, it is stated clearly on the individual product page.

4. Delivery area

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. We do not offer international shipping at present.

Please note that a small number of bulky items cannot be delivered to Northern Ireland. Where this restriction applies, it is noted on the product page.

5. Tracking your order

Once your order ships, we'll email you tracking information where available. You can use this to check the live delivery status directly with the carrier.

6. Delays

Some delays are outside our control — carrier backlogs, severe weather, and public holidays being the most common. If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us with your order number and we'll investigate.

If a package is confirmed lost or significantly delayed by the courier, we will send a replacement or issue a refund.

7. Incorrect delivery addresses

Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. If you spot a mistake, contact us immediately — we can usually correct it before dispatch. Once an order has shipped to an address you provided, we may not be able to recover it.

Woof!

My dog is the fussiest sensitive eater. She loves this! I can struggle to get her to eat most products but this will now be a regular. A lifesaver.

Great product

My dog always had flatulence, and there were a lot of windy incidents as a result. Her stomach would rumble, and she clearly didn’t feel comfortable. Since my dog is very picky when it comes to food, I was sceptical at first. However, she absolutely loves this food, and it has helped a lot with her flatulence. Her stool is back to normal as well. It doesn’t always have to be the most expensive food; cheaper options often work better. I can only recommend this to anyone dealing with similar symptoms.

Intestinal Bi

Especially when the little ones have diarrhoea or stomach ache, this food is really, really good. Incredibly easy to digest. He loves the taste. Of course, I also cook light meals, but he only takes a lick of those. Since I have a Chihuahua who is quite sensitive, I bought this food. He licks the bowl clean. The price is unbeatable. As soon as it’s finished, I order more straight away. I’m very satisfied, and so is my little Leo. A clear recommendation ❤

tasty

A food that doesn’t give my dog stomach aches, finally... I’m thrilled...

Simply brilliant

The food has often saved my dog a trip to the vet when he’s had diarrhoea, and he tolerates it better than homemade meals. I always keep this food at home.

In acute cases AND for prevention, very good!

I ALWAYS have this food at home. \n,My dog has a very sensitive gastrointestinal tract, so I have to be very careful with feeding. \n,If I notice that the stool is still too soft, I feed exclusively this food for one or two days, and this helps prevent diarrhoea. \n,Even when giving medication, which would normally cause stomach/intestine issues, I feed only this food as a precaution during the medication period, and the stomach/intestine problems don’t occur. \n,Also great in acute cases!

Super product

When my miniature poodle has tummy rumbles and diarrhoea, she usually doesn’t eat—often for two days straight. Integra Protect Turkey is really well received by her; the tummy rumbles stop after the first portion, and after the second portion, the diarrhoea is already firmer. I usually feed it to her continuously for 2–3 days, and then everything is back to normal. I’m absolutely thrilled and now always keep it in stock. Thumbs up!!

Thankfully available again and always stocked at home.

I’ve been keeping the Animonda Integra Intestinal trays at home for years now, just to be on the safe side, as my dog occasionally suffers from diarrhoea and this food is perfect as a gentle diet afterwards. Unfortunately, it wasn’t available for a while, and I was already worried that the product had been discontinued. \n,Luckily, today I found the trays again, which just have slightly different packaging but are almost identical in composition.

Really very good for old, weak dogs

I've had some Integra Protect in the cellar for two years now. It works immediately for diarrhoea. Now our 15-year-old lady has a uterine infection and, after starting the antibiotics, she didn’t want to eat properly anymore – even home-cooked chicken didn’t appeal to her. Trying Integra Protect was a complete success; morning and evening she polishes off a little bowl.

Classy!

Was happily devoured and really helped our shepherd dog, who stayed lively despite being ill!

Super emergency remedy!

Our young dog had giardia, which meant a lengthy treatment with antibiotics and worming medication. The parasites were finally gone, but the dog then had persistent diarrhoea, so we had to get expensive vet food. The dog didn’t particularly like it, and the results were less than satisfactory. Then I came across Animonda food here. Conclusion: The dog eats it happily, and the effect was impressively quick. I always keep a few trays at home for emergencies!

Very effective – should always be ready for emergencies!

My Labrador Retriever bitch (2 years old), usually lively and always hungry, developed foul-smelling and almost watery diarrhoea during our holiday this year. Since I had already used the product with our Labrador bitch who passed away at the age of 14, I was very glad I had cautiously packed 12 cans of Integra. It took 2 days and 6 packs of Integra, and the nightmare was permanently over!

Is happily eaten as a change from other food.

Very good food, but you should never feed the same thing all the time. It works well for my dog. He has issues with his pancreas. However, what’s good for one dog might not be good for another.

C
Charlie
Good for issues with the pancreas.

The food is very well tolerated, and if the dosage of digestive enzymes is right, there are no more bloating issues. This food is definitely recommended.

Excellent

My chihuahua is very difficult but she absolutely devours these trays, and the food radically cut her diarrhoea problems. I was sceptical when I first bought them but in the end I will definitely buy it again. Definitely recommend!

Allergy

I gave it to my dog because of severe diarrhoea, but it only got worse. \n,Result: he’s allergic to lamb! \n,We’re now feeding him turkey with potato, and it’s working great. 😊

Allergy

I gave this to my dog due to heavy diarrhoea but it initially got worse. We found out this was because he is allergic to lamb! We now feed him the turkey and potato one and it works well.

It's quite okay, but...

I don’t understand the good reviews. I gave it to my little one because I was really hoping it would work, but unfortunately her stool is still a bit soft. And she’s constantly bloated, which is really unbearable. I even bought extra, but honestly, you can only gain experience yourself. If it does end up changing because it takes some time, I’ll improve my review.

Charlie
pretty good but

I have had ok results but unfortunately my dog's stools are still very soft. She still has some bloating , and we've bought more of this product to give it a fair trial, but if something doesn't change soon we will have to try a new food :/

Very good

Excellent product for my sensitive dog, tasty too!
